4% uncapped rake - beatable?

This summer I will be visiting relatives and staying in France at the family house. There is a casino I was used to play poker 10 years ago and was wondering if it would be worth grinding there a little.
The games were pretty good back then and I expect the players and many tourists to give good action this summer. The issue is the rake : French government impose a 4% uncapped rake on poker games in French casinos (poker clubs in Paris falls under another rule).

Is it beatable for a decent hourly? Should I invest some of my time there?

i'd guess not, or at least not for much. The problem is in order to have a WR that is large enough to beat a high rake it has to be a really good game, which almost always means deep stacks. The problem with that is uncapped rake hurts a deep stacked game the most. If it's super soft you can maybe grind out a few BB/hour if you play great, but i'd doubt it

I have been playing at a place where they take 3% no cap. the games play very deep. I play 5-10 and 25-25 uncapped buyin over there and my hourly is slightly more than $100 over a sample of about 600hours. not that much but probably safe to assume I beat the games with a decent hourly. the games are almost as soft as in LA.

hotel, food, drinks and everything else is free. no tip for the dealer.

I imagine in france you have to pay for all that stuff and 4% no cap is even worse. for that reason there won't be a lot of regs and the games are probably pretty good. I would say you definitely can beat a 4% uncapped game but it's really questionable for how much. not enough infos.

@maphacks, that sounds like an interesting set up. Do you mind telling us what room you are talking about?

well LA games are pretty nice and you have a variety of stakes at any time. at the place I play, they spread those games only during events so I can only go there for ten days and after that I fly back. if they would run whole year, I would probably move there.
