Finally had a pretty kick ass week winning just over $8000. I played three sessions of 5-10-20, which I am putting into my data as $10-$20 to try and get a little bit of a more accurate winrate in terms of big blinds. Finally got above the $100 hump and am confident moving forward.

    Nice results. :tu:

Looks like I'll have to get myself to Hollywood Park!

Had another pretty decent week putting in a fair amount of volume. Headed back to play at Commerce for the tournament and I think that the games are better than before. Also put in a short session of 20-40NL. Thanksgiving week can always be a little interesting. But expect Wednesday night and Fri to be good even Thursday night.

Finally had a GIANT week, last week. Ran very well in the 40/80 Omaha 8 at Hollywood Park, and had some good No Limit sessions. Also put in a couple of long sessions, something I rarely do, and never expected to win this much $$ and play this many hours on the week of thanksgiving.

Moving to the home stretch here and I'm on one hell of an upswing and having my best month so far for 2017. This week I'll probably only get in about 20-25 hours.

Well, there goes that run. After having the biggest week of the challenge last week came back with the biggest losing week of the challenge this week. Lost about $4500 at 10-20 at HP, got really fucked at Commerce PLO and had some crazy spots at the Bike's 5-10-20 game. Down to the home stretch with about 80 hours left to go..

It’s a filter Nov of 2017. I do my months from the 5th to the 5th. I also have a 2017 500 hour challenge filter which is where the goal results are. I must have been on the Nov 17 filter when I took the session shots but the sessions are the same.

After the challenge is complete, are you planning on posting your hourly by game type? I am curious where your 5/10 NL will be.

Maybe but I will say that I have started entering most if not all of the NL games from HP and the Bike at 10-20. Because thats what they really are 5-10-20, not 5/10. So I am not sure how many hours Ill have in at 5/10.

This week I only played twice, but did get in a long session on Saturday to Sunday morning. Coming down to the home stretch now with about 60 hours and 3 weeks or so to go.

Had a pretty bad session at the Bike on Saturday at 5-10-20. Not sure but I think I'm voodoo cursed there. Was one of those situations were a could have dominated the 5-5 game I was in, but the 5-10-20 looked good, but ended up just being ok. Got into a $9000 pot as an 80/20 and won only 1/2, then another $8000 pot at 60/40 won 1/2. Again these spots are huge when examining winrate in the short term. I stand at 472 hours with two weeks left, but Ill probably get to 500 and close out the challenge by Jan 1. Going home to Boston this week from Dec 20th- Dec 27th.

So put in a little bit of volume this week just getting back from Boston for Christmas. Like I said on the podcast Saturday was sort of a disappointing day, as I had penciled in a full 8 hrs of playing time got a late start and felt like I was “chasing” the game from Commerce to the Bike. One more week left in the challenge to round things off although I probably will only be able to play one longer session (at least 6 hours) on Saturday.

Finished off the challenge over this past week. Ended up about 2 hours short of my goal, tried to troop through it Saturday night at the Aria but the game broke up. Pretty happy with my overall results as I started very slow this year for the challenge, but didn't get the type of results that I achieved in years past. This year I played about 420 hours of Holdem and 80 hours of other games.

It definitely was harder to put the volume in this challenged compared to any other one. I think a lot of people dont realize how much work it is for me to run CLP and do a majority of the content. If I play 20 hours a week of poker I am working at least 50 hours a week including doing stuff for the site. I am looking forward to some lighter volume leading up to the LAPC in January.

Curious what your VPIP and preflop raises are or you don't know?
  • Jesse_The_Suit Posts: 485Subscriber
Calculating a VPIP requires logging every hand you actually play. I have done that on the past, but I think unless you are trying to diagnosis a problem with your game (mostly Vpiping too high) its probably more trouble than it's worth.

How would I know that, lol? Usually when I play on LATB, which I will be tonight in the ante game, I play a style of 25/15.
