My 1st real entitlement tilt

Last night ran a horrific session.
1st hand I play I get my nut flush 1 outed by a straight flush -$500 by one of the biggest idiots at my casino.
My next 7 hands get crippled, -$1000.
I swap tables to reset my irritation. I spent the next 6 hours regaining 1/2 of my losses through psychological manipulation, clever bluffing, and thin value betting, with below average hand distribution. Things are improving 6 hours into the session.

Then this kid sits down with his backpack, an ipad of cool tunes, and his bad ass motherfucker wallet. He starts running over the table with made nut hands or semibluffing draws that hit. People are shipping him money like he is some TV evangelist. Within 45m he is up 3 buy ins.

I was so incredibly irritated I had to quit my session because I knew I wasn't going to be able to play a good game. I was borderline stressed from the early part of my session but this sent me over the edge. I gotta work this shit like a pole dancer at a strip club to make my bb/hr and here comes this kid making it look easy to take money from fish. What got me so irritated is that I have seen this same scenario happen at least a dozen times in the last 6 months when some young kid sits down. Be nice for it to happen to me..... like ever.

Thus my 1st real entitlement tilt.

The first time I played after reading my first book I had entitlement tilt probably haha.

This is a tilt I've had to work.

Yeah, I generally bring 4 buyins as a stop loss. But I think if I got felted twice in an orbit, I might just bail. We are all human after all, everyone gets tiled and the casino is always open.

Also, huge benefit of being a side job player --- not like we really need the money so we can take time off when we can't play out a game.

Nothing is more irritating than losing a couple buy ins your 1st 2 orbits. There have been times I just quit and went home.

But twice it was some lagtard who did it to me and I refused to go home. I stayed many hours and got my money back + profit.

Oh no you didn't just 5 out me twice.

There is this good TAG player at the Isles. I saw him get beat down like a bad step child over and over and over. I oversetted him one of those beatings. He was down $3000 at one point. I actually felt bad for him. It was a ridiculous series of unfortunate events.

I had this exact scenario at a table earlier this week... I laughed so much at your description of the experience!

    Glad I made you laugh.

Update. By Feb I had more bad runs live. There are only so many times one can run boats into quads and not go insane. Online ran equally bad in 2017 and the 1st 2 months of 2018. So I quit in Feb for a while. Online my HM2 said it all. What I lost one direction, what my EV was the other direction.

Just got back into it this month online and live. Got back to 2/5. Worked my 1st session which was a series of folds for 2 hours with a few scattered hands in which I raise, I CB, I have to fold..... or I raise, I CB, I CB, get shoved on for $600 in a $175 pot and have to fold. Down $300. I worked my pan handler magic with my nit image combined with some Matt Berkey tactics and bluffed some medium pots. Yea I made $20 an hour when my session was over up $94.... pathetic. Not one premium hand. 15% VPIP and I am LOOKING to play hands. WTF?!?!

2nd session of 2/5 next weekend. I once again get below average VPIP of 17% but above average premium. I had more premiums in 2.75 hours than normal hands. I get in good spots in multiway pots with ~5-6 hands and miss....every....single....draw. No you can't bluff raise droolers. Between them my premium run.

At one point I raised in a straddled pot and this drooler donk bets tiny into me on a double draw board all 3 streets. I had a pair of 99s on the Q54ccs I call down and he beats me. Then I hear him insult me calling me an idiot from the other side of the table because I called down 1/3, 1/5, and 1/7th PSBs. I only saw him play 3 hands but it was enough to give him a sign to hold above his head. He bluffed one of the 3. Seriously dude? It's like Forrest Gump calling Stephan Hawking stupid.

    AA all fold.
    KK all fold
QQ runs into AA I fold preflop because I know the player
QQ runs into KK preflop I play lost $150 to a good player he has AA. Lost the least because he didnt bet the river.
    TT all fold
TT all fold. WTF can they see my fucking cards?
AA and I say fuck it I limp. There are 2 aggrofish in position including the sign holder who called me an idiot. They love to small-raise preflop. They fold to 3bs like a kid declines candy at a Willy Wonka's factory..... uh NOT! Well they all limp... that's just great. But in a sick twist of fate I manage to turn my AA into a bluff and made one of a fish at the table fold the best hand using my super nit image and the "old jedi mind trick". He was convinced I had the flush.

Next hand flop TP + FD and betting it like a boss. Guy calls with lone sucker end GS. Hits runner runner backdoor flush. I made a small value bet of about 1/3rd pot and got min-raised and called getting 6:1. My facial expression OTR was Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream". How am I losing to these people?!?!

Down $500 at this point. I have won exactly 4 pots post flop all bluffs. And one TPGK I won OTT. Being patient.... then the miracle on 5th street happens.

I flop a boat OTB vs the right opponent in a limped pot with a few people in it. I BOMB the flop with my bottom boat saying fuck it they got it or they don't and get a caller. Flush completes the turn he bets I raise 1/2 my stack vs his tiny bet he calls and looks at his hole cards.... ok the BB has trip Q..... yes YES easy river shove he won't fold, they never fold, rub hands, evil cackle....... River 3rd Q fuck me....... I heard his boner hit the bottom of the table. 1st fucking hard on in 20 years probably and yes the boner hitting the table is a tell I read in Caro's book about old white guys. I vomit folded my boat. He shows his quads. He was going for the high hand. And didnt realize his quads WERE NO FUCKING GOOD FOR HIGH HAND!!!!

This game played like a 1/2 and I had to leave in disgust after the last hand..... and I only brought $1000.... I was planning on playing 1/2 to relax but everyone bought in for $50. Fuck that. I need $300+ tables.

Welcome to the Thunder Dome mother fucker, 2 men enter, 1 man leaves.
