Getting back into NLHE

Time to brush off the poker cobwebs and get back into the swing of NLHE. due to a job I took last year flooring at a local poker room, I've been unable/ unmotivated to play much NLHE. The place I work at offers almost exclusively limit holdem and while I've been playing that on and off as a matter of convenience, I have not spend much time at all at the casino up the road from my place that offers NL. As circumstances happen, my schedule change last week from working graveyard and weekends to working a mid daytime shift with Th, Fri, Sat off. Perfect for playing!

I'm looking forward to getting back into things as I hear the action has been really great since the NL home upped their 3/5 buyin from $500 to $1000. While I'm not rolled for $1k buyins at the moment, I will be doing my $500 buyins and looking forward to some great action. My hope is that over the next month, I don't run awful and can get back into making a respectable hourly. I expect I'll be back on CLP more as well as I work to step up my game and battle my way thru old and new rivals alike.

Last Thursday, my first hand I was dealt AJss, flopped two pair, bet flop, bet turn, shoved to turn raise, and boated up for an instant double up. won a little on Friday as well but only after getting felted for $800 when I shoved turn with AK on a KQxxcchc turn and lost to AsJc when the fourth club rolled off on the river. Overall, can't complain too much.
