$200 eff.

I had JUST played this hand versus villain: http://www.crushlivepoker.com/forums/discussion/14176/1-2-full-house-vs-river-raise

2 limpers. Hero in MP2 8 8 raises $12.
CO(V1), UTG1, MP1(V2) call.

Pot $42. Flop 9 6 5
X, X, Hero bets $20, V1 in CO calls, MP1 calls.

Pot $101. Turn 6
X, Hero checks, V1 bets $45, V2 all-in for $30, hero calls.

River 7
Hero checks, V1 bets $110, Hero does what?

...now that I think about it, having 2 eights sucks a lot.

This is so bad. So, so bad. I'm calling $110 to win $15 in the side pot and $51 in the main pot, if I actually beat V2. No one comment on this. This is embarrassing.

But what do you think of the turn play?

Although pocket 8's are my favorite hand and we're blocking 2 cards for the some random 8/10 combination, jamming $110 in a pot of about what $220 ish, I just don't ever see us winning here in a 1/2 game. Losing against higher straights, flushes, any random 6, or boats....
