Terp I’ve really enjoyed this as it is so relevant for poker players to consider. A couple of years ago I think I was set up in a $5/5 ($1k) No Limit home game. I lost $3k in the last session in this game and over the few weeks leading up to this the line up never really changed. Some players that I’ve played in a casino environment that would make plays and spew would be nitting it up, crushing and making hero calls with AJ high for $600 on boards that definitely hit a V range. It was the same 5-6 people and I was thinking the whole time I’m here because I bring cash to the game and felt I was being set up. I never went to that game again. Then something similar happen 1yr ago in the Asian game. I was the only white non Asian speaking person there.
What I learnt is that before I play any home game now as the PLO action is crazy in these games. I want to know who is involved in the business of running the game and who is staked by the house. So I can make adjustments in situations but also when the game gets short handed I don’t play if it’s people that have a business Intrest or being staked. As they won’t the game to go as long as it can and I’m the sucker staying to play in that situation. I have had regs at the cas say I shouldn’t ask those questions it’s non of my business. I think totally different and if you want me there you tell me. I’ve been around this scene for so many years and seen to much dodgy shit to not be carful these days.

Keep up the great content and I will post a plo hand when I add some volume to my week. I did play $5/$5 at the cas on Sunday but it was so soft and I got no hands and the $1/2 plo home games play biggger than it.
