200bb Deep AKo in BB

$2/5 Local Casino - $500 max buy in

Hero has a $1k stack w A K in the BB and an aggressive image.

Main Villain opens UTG to $25 off a $1.2k stack.

I have played with this villain before and he loves action. He has a tendency to over-bluff post flop and plays draws very fast. Pre flop, however he plays very straight forward. In my head I was thinking he is probably opening the top 10% of hands or so like this. I have not seen him get out of line pre flop by bluffing or opening wide with a raise.

MP, CO, and BTN all call with stacks around $300-$500.

I make it $200.

UTG snap jams with 0 thought.

MP folds, CO folds, BTN tanks and angrily folds and when he folds he aggressively slams his cards down and the Q Q flips face up.

Action is back on me. Should we call this off?

So basically we can eliminate QQ's..so now we are facing JJ's-KK's or AA's or AK in this spot.. IMO I think it's Kings and player scared of Ace dropping..I play a tad tighter and have np folding here.

OP Do you have Equilab? Free program, you need it to evaluate spots like this. It's the type of homework you need to do to know what we should do in spots like this.

I gave V AA, KK, the remaining QQ, 2 of 6 JJ, all AKs and half AKo.

    Equity Win Tie
UTG 64.80% 46.59% 18.21% KK+, QdQh, JdJh, JdJs, AKs, AhKd, AsKd, AsKh, AcKd, AcKh, AcKs
    BB 35.20% 16.99% 18.21% AKo

So do you have the right odds to call? I hope you like math, otherwise you're gonna hate studying poker. ;)

    Thanks for the feedback.

I ran it a few times through PokerCruncher before posting with a few different scenarios for villain and came up short of the needed equity every time.

I folded in game and felt fine about it. Running the numbers confirmed that.

I have been running very bad in cash this year and spots like this I want to make sure I am coming up with the proper ranges for villain.

Its good to know you came up with a very similar range that I had when running the numbers.
