SpewArtist Posts: 68Subscriber
Game: 1/3 NL at local casino
CO: Plays super weak tight, fit or fold
Villain: Older gent, plays pretty loose passive, peels flop with a ton of shit, nice guy though lol

Pre Flop:
MP Limps
CO Limps
Villain, SB ($350 eff): Completes sb
Hero, BB, ($350): Tspade5club Checks the option

Flop ($12): Theart2spade8heart
Villain: Checks
Hero ($350): Bets $12
CO: Calls $12
Villain: Call $12

Turn ($48): 2diamond
Villain: Checks
Hero ($338): Bets $30
CO: Folds
Villain: Calls $30

River ($108): 3spade
Villain: Leads $50
Hero ($308): ????

Final Board is Theart2spade8heart2diamond3spade

Thoughts on turn and river play?
- Think I have to bet turn because I can't check call against CO and while sometimes I value own myself against a better ten, I get value from all the draws.
- Turn sizing?
- What do you think Villain's range is when he takes this line?

people dont randomly turn missed draws into bluffs on the river all that often. I would just assume buddy flopped a set and fold. or had something like 23s or some hand like that.

If he was going to turn his hand into a bluff i think he wouldve done it on the turn.

and to derail the thread... this post had over 20 veiws and no posts on it. This is how you get better guys. Reply to threads and have other critique how you think. Just sitting there waiting for everyone else to post and just reading it is not going to be as helpful as giving it a shot yourself.

Yea I thought he would raise on the flop with a set or something sweet, I mean, he just check called from OOP so idk, seems like he would do something at some point if he had that strong of hand. Was really confused on the river, kinda wanted to fold, kinda wanted to call, kinda wanted to jam. What's the best hand this dolt can have, AT maybe? A deuce is a consideration though I guess. I agree with you though, fish don't really take this line as a bluff but difficult to give him any type of reasonable range I think.
