If you have discussions on the forums that you're interested in, click on the Bookmark icon next to them:

This will cause them to appear in your "My Bookmarks" tab at the top of the forums page, in "Bookmarked discussions" below the category list on the right, and you will also receive an email when someone posts in one of your bookmarked discussions.

This is an easy and convenient way to keep track of the discussions that interest you

The email notifications will be coming from notifications@CrushLivePoker.com

To ensure they don't end up in your spam/junk mail folder, please add notifications@CrushLivePoker.com to your contacts list.

Apparently this feature had not been working. But it has been tested and working now. So if you want to receive email notifications about a specific thread follow the instructions above. If you want to bookmark threads (for the purpose of marking them as read) and you don't want to receive email notifications go to the CLP forums and click on your name in the forum header (not at top of page but the small version of your name next to "inbox"). Then click on Edit profile. On the right in the middle of the page there is a "edit preferences link". There you can control your email notification settings.

Is there a way to use this without email notifications?

Yes. Click on your name in the forums heading bar next to "inbox". Then click on "edit profile" at the top right. Then notification preferences. There you can see the boxes that you can check and uncheck that control email notification.
