K9o, 3 limps, sb completes, hero checks bb

Flop Kd Tc 9d

sb checks, Hero bets 20, 3 folds, sb calls

Turn 4d

sb checks, Hero bets 50, sb calls

River Qs

sb checks, hero?

I usually err on the side of getting thin value, but is this too thin or worth a value bet?

  • Absolutely,

When sb checks to you, you have best hand here like 95% of the time. Its trickier if you are OOP but I bet small here probably like 30% or less of pot to get a crying call from a weak K.

Bart, don't you think his position also is important. Since he was in the SB he is much much less likely to have a straight..and more likely to have a K?

  • Absolutely. You also get called by weaker to pair holdings.

What do you know/think about villain? I ask b/c the turn bet amount and river play/amount depends on villain.
