How much faster would Vegas cash games go if the dealers would just call out the the action/bet sizes/etc?

Is there something Chinese related to luck going on with this? Everything that goes on in casinos that doesn't make sense to me is usually this.

Vegas regulars go crazy when the raises get broken down before the player facing the bet asks.

Why? I'm really baffled by this. No one I've asked seems to know.

It is slight pet peeve of mine as well when a dealer breaks it down to show the player how much the call is. I think fold equity is lessened. If the player wants to know the number they should have to ask. I think bart's system runs contrary to this since he uses big chips to show the fish how much is in the pot and what the bet is.

That is because Bart is betting fish almost entirely for value. He wants them to know how much the pot is so they think they are getting a good price.

But yes , I agree that it reduces fold equity when the bets are pulled in and the remaining chips are broken down.

It annoys me for a different reason. I think of raise sizes as the amount I want to raise total, not how much more I want to make it. So it makes the math confusing for how much more I have to put in the pot to make it my usual sizing

Like if it goes 20 to 60 to 150 and I know I want to make it 275 total because that's my default sizing for the click-it-back game, then I have to go back and be like, ok...what were all the bets on the previous streets? What did they add up to? There's 90 in front of my opponent so that plus the previous bets equals 150 and I usually make it 275 total...so what I want in front of me is 275-(90+60)+90=215? It would be a lot less confusing if I could just make sure what I had in front of me was what I wanted to make it, my total bet of 275

Lol I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets confused/annoyed by this. I would'nt say I suck at math, but sometimes I suck at counting, if that makes any sense. It makes me want to go back to limit holdem. :(

so is tht why so many players slide bets without saying anything for fold equity? holy sht man does tht really work?

isnt this how people angle though by sliding out 50 while saying allin?

I don't really think it adds any fold equity when the table is mostly playing redbirds and someone sees a chunk get bet but doesn't know precisely how much.

Inevitably they think a while...then ask how much...then the dealer counts it down...and I'll never get those 15 seconds of my life back. Multi-task damn it.

Separately, whoever created the slot machine that occasionally emits an eagle screech needs to be drawn and quartered.
