Join Abe on the eve of his cigar vacation. His nicotine hyper sensitive state leads him to discuss one of most important issues he feels that continues to go unaddressed in the poker community--undisclosed swapping and staking in high stakes cash games.

I let you have your fun on the show. Some of these topics are like politics. Hard to sway anyone's opinion.

You say you want to know if people are swapping or secretly staked at the same table. Thats going to far. Would you like the casino to approach you and ask you "where did you get your money from sir" . So why would anyone tell you where their money came from?

We all wanted to know if Santa was real. But we really didn't care cuz we got presents. Fuck if Santa is real or not. If you stacking paper and getting rakeback you shouldn't care if me 3 guys on the same bankroll sat in your game. You already have an inflated hourly.

    Stop Complaining.

If 9 players are at the table and one of them has free rakeback whos cheating?

Whats the use of friends if they don't challenge you.

Limon thinks my opinion is biased. But I dont want to be staked and never really did. I just feel dont play if you're relying on ethics of people not sharing rolls.

In business people usually team up to make their net worth bigger. Why should it be any different in poker. Poker is treated like a business. Everyone is not loaded. Dont hate on the little guys.

I agree with you on this topic. Back in the day and still do but not to same extent do 60/40 chop wins with good winning players. Usually play different tables but at times will get on same juicy table. For the most part people know especially when we check down when heads up. It does affect your play in bad ways. Ex: If chopper raises and gets 3 or 4 callers squeezing will throw up the collusion flag and it makes me less likely to make such a profitable play.

Moreover, back in the day I was rolled nicely and had my share of winning and losing horses. At times we were on the same table but as long as there is no raise, call, call, call , squeeze crap going on I don't see a huge problem.

Fwiw All my staking/ backing costs me thousands in the end. That was/is my biggest leak in poker. Trying to help a perceived winning player out but they are like 95% of poker players. Lifetime Losers!!!!!

Having pieces of people in the game changes strategy and even fundamentally alters the game (pot odds, for example). This all is beyond the collusion possibility. When you're literally changing the odds in the game, it's unethical to not disclose it.

Fwiw I haven't heard this podcast yet, but pretty sure limon has the same view.

Is this a real game it an imaginary game? Wait...in both your comment makes no sense. You need more "practice".

Maybe it didn't make any sense. My point is stop being biased.

I don't like staking because of you. I want to build my roll from the ground up. Its much more gratifying. But to say your gonna laugh at people for going to jail over a few swaps and a couple of team ups is bs.

You say these staking arrangements kills games.

What you think this will do to the hs games. Might be the death of hs live poker.

It's going too far to know if two of my opponents have a secret arrangement that hinges on the outcome of hands? GTFO.

I don't want to know where anyone's money originates. I want to know if I'm playing against partners. Easy enough?

Omg I went off on Brandon. I know hes much smarter then that. Probably got put on the spot for the $50. Didnt think much of it at the time. But still no excuses. He needs to stick to cash/games and stop buying expensive lottery tickets that wont bink or if binked he wont get paid by a scammer.
