Cal Grand toughest 3/5 NL Game? Feedback requested

GSpot Posts: 97Subscriber
Game: 2/3/5 - $500 cap game - 10 handed

H-$500
V-$500

5 mins into session, I open to $20 w/AdKd, regs know me as good LAG with wide range

V - flats $20 next to act, UTG +2
5 more callers: mp, C/O, Button, SB & BB.

Flop-944 :r: - Hero C-bets to $80 ( board texture is great, trying to rep overpair, and define villain hand ranges.

V-flats $80, rest of field folds
Villain is a solid, tight passive, winning pro

Turn-Ah completes rainbow

H- bets $145
V-Flats

Pot is $590 and you have $255 left

River - 6 - what do you do?

I don't care how good that texture is I'm not cbet bluffing into 5 players usually.

Tough to get two streets after the turn. If u want it to look bluffy fine you can bet the turn but I am check folding the river, although I expect it to go check check a fair amount. Or you could check turn and bet River if it checks through or check call small turn bet to check fold River.

People firing into a 6 way pot with nothing, games must be tough. Lol live poker.

I was going to ask if I check fold the river... Even with that shallow of a stack at a 3/5 game, you check fold the river? I thought about that but then felt like that was so weak to check fold AK getting 3-1 going into the River?

Actually it is the toughest 3/5 game I've ever played in. It plays like a deep stack game even when stacks are 100B or less. It's 10 handed, and ultra nitty post flop. I understand the bet matrix etc. but in that game only, I had to change it up. Bart's analysis on the river is really good, I thought of check folding the river later.

The fuking V had AA for a turned boat and cooler.

Bart-how do you think the villain played his hand? I would never flat UTG+2 for fear of what happened, 6 way pot...

what 3/5, 100BB cap game plays like that? I love all of the other casinos, just that place decimates my win rate... and yes it's their biggest NL game in the room as you say...

Whoa? Your cbet was so big. You really think you can called by worse? Jesus. Just check fold pick a better

haha good ol' Cal Grand. I've played in this game before. Even though I don't really consider it a really good game, it's certainly not a tough game.

As played, check/fold the river. What do you really beat?

    btw, was the villain Bert?

no worries... when the board is this dry though a bet a lot less will do the same.. you could probably bet $50 or even $45 and most everyone will fold..
