Wanted to get some feed back on what people thought was the best play in this hand.
Game: NL 300 to 500, $5/$5 blinds
Villain: Rec player with a few moves. Can bluff and Hero call but overall a Rec player. Winning today.
Hero: Known LAG but had a losing image and had been playing TAG (although the Rec may not have noticed). Although had just won with a FD after getting it in behind.
Villain opens to $30 from MP. This is a sizing tell of his and so far it has always been a big hand. His normal open is $20. It is HU to the flop.
Hero BUTTON calls with (55).
Flop is Qd, 9d, 6c. Pot ($70)
Villain looks back at his hand and exposed two black aces (AA). He doesn't mean to expose the cards but his just isn't careful with his hand. He bets $40.
Hero calls with the intention of 2 barreling any diamond on the turn.
The turn is a 7c. Villain bets $60 and Hero folds.
The question I have after looking back at the hand is the flop call good? I do not think he is going to always fold to 2 barrels. Not sure if the pot offers enough to chase a turn flush draw + my two outs.
In the end, is the perfect play to just fold the flop and save the $40? Is there any merit in 2 barreling the FD expecting him to call the turn but fold the river?
