In town visiting family. **Might** have some time to play tonight. Poker in NH seems pretty small. Any reviews of card rooms near Wolfboro? Lakes casino looks like the closest but it might just be tournaments?

There's a racetrack called Rockingham Park that spreads a deep $2/$4 NLHE game. It appears to be 90 minutes or so from you, but is totally worth the drive.

That's the only experience I have had in New Hampshire.

Rockingham park is DISGUSTING. They're closing for good in three months. I've heard Hampton falls is the next best thing. The games are ok in Manchester, which is probably the closest one to you. It's called Jokerz or something like that, but there are no signs with that name.

There are games in milford too. All the rooms are equally bad in terms of dealer quality, player skill, and atmosphere, With The Exception Of Rockingham park. That place is the filthiest, and that's saying ALOT. It does have the most action though, and your best bet if you wanna play bigger than 1/2. Though the max in the state is 2/4 NL

Honestly though, the weather is UNSTOPPABLE around here right now. You won't find much action in these windowless pits where they play cards.

Head over to Mt Chocorua and enjoy the day!!

Rockingham Park IS a dump but the $2/$4 game is super soft. And yes, they're closing the doors at the end of August. You might try Seabrook. Same owners as Rockingham.

Its amazing that NH and Maine even have poker. I grew up in Reading, MA, my parents live in Middleton now. I of course never play when I am home for the holidays but may one trip I might hit up the NH card rooms or that game in Bangor to give a trip report.

I was visiting my Reading side of the family today Bart. A bunch of them retired to the Wolfboro area.

Thanks for the posts everyone. Todays portion of the family reunion went long which was nice so no need to hunt down a card room tonight. Plus everyones reviews seemed to jive with what little i could find on the internet. Just wanted to know what my options in were in case today broke early and I was bored out of my skull tonight.

Enjoy your holiday weekend everyone, hope you're getting great weather or at least great cards.

I don't know about the Bangor game but don't bother with the NH games. Rockingham and Seabrook are both hell holes. At Rockingham tiles are falling out of the ceilings, some of the tables are where the stadium seating used to be so you feel like you're going to fall backward out of your chair, there's been a broken window with a blue tarp covering it since last winter, the ATM machines are hit or miss and most of the patrons look like extras from The Walking Dead. Also, $2/$4 is the biggest game they play. It is only 25 minutes from Mom & Dad so if you want to check it out better act fast. They close their doors in August.

Was at rockingham last night. Yeah they close on 8/31. The place is a dump. Heard rumors that a small room may open near the rock, but those reports are unconfirmed. Can the fucking Wynn in Everett open already
