Hey guys and girls. So I'm driving out to Vegas (and eventually socal) this summer for a couple months, and I need some advice from experienced Vegas visitors/locals on how to park most efficiently. I'm planning to stay at Aria initially for about a week, because I'll be with relatives and we are going to split costs. After that I plan to either stay at airbnbs or cheaper strip hotels if I feel like it. With either of these options I'm forced to park my car on or near the strip.
Obviously I'm not penny pinching in general, but if I can save $18 a day or whatever they charge for parking, that would help tons over 2 months.
What's the trick? Is there a different place I could park my car and leave it, while taking some kind of shuttle or walking? Or is there a rewards card I need to get for free parking? If so, what's the fastest way to achieve that? I don't go to Vegas much, so obviously I'm looking for something I could obtain between now and then, or within 1-3 days of arriving. Is parking at rio and taking a shuttle / uber an option for when I'm staying on-strip?
I browsed through some threads here and on 2+2, but it's hard to know the current state of things because a lot of those were last updated a year or so ago, and I know stuff is changing all the time there.
Any help would be much appreciated!
